HOW WELL DOES YOUR CLUB PERFORM?
RAISING THE STANDARD OF COACH AND PLAYER DEVELOPMENT ONE ORGANIZATION AT A TIME!
Tuesday, May 1st 2012, the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) launches 'the' Club Standards Project and announce David Newbery as the Coordinator.
WHAT? The NSCAA Club Standards Project is the first standards project in the USA evaluating the on and off field performance of a youth soccer organization and awarding a nationally recognized designation.
The program raises awareness of key principles of player development and to assisting organizations in implementing educationally sound and long-term strategic decisions.
WHO? To date, we have evaluated over 80 organizations (using the Y-SAT Assessment) offering recreation, competitive and elite level programs. These organizations span the continuum of all volunteer to all professional coaching and administration. the program is for any organization serious about coach and player development and keen to discover how they measure up against good practice from around the USA and across the world.
WHY? The NSCAA is perfectly placed to lead the initiative. As a coaching organization serving well over 30,000 members and with an international reputation for excellence, the NSCAA is vested only in raising the performance of all youth programs, coaches and indirectly players, without having a financial stake in one particular model. Our membership and consultants span the country making this initiative accessible to youth programs across the country and abroad.
